Part 107 and COA Flight Operations

Oklahoma State University has been granted four different COA's from the FAA that have been used for flight operations with in the Cloudmap Campaign. Currently we have the ability to fly to 5,000 feet AGL above the Kessler atmospheric and ecological field station, 2,500 feet AGL and our OSU Flight Station and the Marina Mesonet station, and 1,200 feet AGL over the little Sahara. We are currently in the works to obtain 5,000 feet AGL for the OSU Flight Station and the Marina Mesonet station.

This past summer during the Cloudmap Campaign we obtained a COA for up to 3,000 feet AGL in the vicinity of Alamosa County, CO. In just one week we performed over 23 hours of total flight time with 5 different types of aircraft.
